TERMS OF BIDDING
|
Please read the terms of absentee bidding carefully. The link to the absentee bidding form is at the bottom of the page. The phone numbers to use
will be on the form.
All absentee forms must include your complete physical address (no PO boxes please), credit card number, expiration date, and a signature for your absentee bids to be executed.
- AMOUNT TO BID:
- The amount that you bid on any particular item should be the limit that you would bid if you were attending the sale. This amount will be bid for you by My Dolly Dearest as if you were actually at the auction. You should figure on paying your top bid for each item, but in actuality, you may pay less than your submitted bid. We cannot accept any bids with no monetary limit specified.
- IDENTICAL BIDS:
- In the event that identical bids are received on the same item, preference is given to the first bid received. In case of identical bids from absentee bidder and attending bidder, preference is given to the attending bidder. The auctioneer shall be the final authority regarding the winning bid.
- LATE BIDS:
- Absentee bids arriving less than 24 hours prior to the auction may possibly not be accepted. If your bid is going to be late, please phone My Dolly Dearest at 717-484-1137 to make sure that your bid will be accepted.
- ALTERNATIVE BIDDING:
- You may wish to place bids on serveral lots in one auction, although you may only want to purchase one. For instance, there may be two identical "Alexanders" in the auction. You would like to purchase one, not both. Placing bids on serveral of same doll, but only buying one, is called "Alternative Bidding". You may make bids on serveral of the same doll by putting the word "or" between the lot numbers on your bidding form. These choices will be limited to four lots and will be placed in chronological order as per the catalog.
- RE-EXAMING LOTS:
- My Dolly Dearest, before each sale, goes over each lot that has an absentee bid. If there is any major discrepancy as far as the catalog description, we will proceed in your best interest by either contacting you for further instructions, by executing your bid conditionally, or by not executing your bid at all. My Dolly Dearest will not be held responsible for failure to notice flaws, errors, or further determinations to the re-examined lots.
- TERMS OF PAYMENT:
- Successful bidders will be notified shortly after the auction of items that your bids have been successful. They will be billed to your credit card, along with appropriate shipping charges, tax (if applicable), and insurance unless previous arrangements have been made for pickup. All items will be shipped by the most economical method unless otherwise specified. All fees for shipping/insurance are the responsibility of the buyer.
- PAYMENT OF ITEMS:
- Payment is due following the auction. Payment may be made by cash, credit card, money order, or good check. Checks sent by absentee bidders will be held for 10 days until they have cleared our bank.
- ALL SALES ARE FINAL:
- All items are sold "as is" with no written or assumed guarantees. There will be no layaways, partial payments, or item refusals.
- NON-PAYMENT OF AUCTION ITEMS:
- On non-payment of the successful bid, the purchaser agrees to pay 100% of all reasonable fees if an attorney is secured for collection. To secure payment, the purchaser authorizes the attorney to charge any judgement against him/her for the total sum due as well as costs of suit, charges, attorney fees, and any additional costs.
- GUARANTEES:
- All items are sold "as is" with no written or assumed guarantee. Any statements to origin, date, or references in our catalog is a statement of opinion, and is not to be relied on as fact or a representation of fact. All sales are final with no returns or partial refunds. My Dolly Dearest will not be responsible for any damage to items once they have been shipped. All claims must be submitted to My Dolly Dearest 24 hours after the item/items have been received by the purchaser. At time of contact, the purchaser will be given instructions as to how to proceed with his/her claim.
